TECMA Exhibition Stand: Equipment and Technical Brief

For a TECMA stand, start with the equipment, demonstration and technical conversation visitors need to understand. The display must fit the allocated plot and delivery arrangements, with clear information about the solution and its operating requirements.

The official TECMA website currently lists the next edition for 6–8 June 2028 at IFEMA Madrid. The 2026 edition has finished. Check the current exhibitor documents before relying on a previous hall, layout or working schedule.

Decide what visitors should be able to inspect

A complete machine, a component, a sample and a digital demonstration require different layouts. List the products and the questions each display should answer. A static exhibit may be appropriate where operating equipment would introduce unnecessary complexity.

Give the designer dimensions, weight, support points, handling instructions and any moving parts. Describe service connections and the intended demonstration sequence. Have the responsible technical parties confirm feasibility and the applicable requirements before approving the design.

Plan equipment access before fixing the architecture

Identify how each item reaches the plot, who unloads it, what handling equipment is required and how packing will be removed or stored. Coordinate delivery, stand construction and final positioning so an installed wall does not obstruct the agreed route.

Ask the venue and competent technical team to confirm floor and support requirements for the actual equipment. Do not infer a permitted load from another hall or from the exhibition area alone. Establish who provides and approves any required calculations or documentation.

Make demonstrations understandable and manageable

Define the operator, audience position, viewing distance, duration and reset process. Consider noise, liquids, moving elements and other relevant operating conditions. Confirm the permitted activity with the organiser and the responsible specialists.

Keep waiting visitors within the allocated space and retain a route for staff to service the equipment. If live operation is unsuitable, compare a recorded workflow, model or sectioned component that explains the same point. Test screen visibility and captions under the proposed lighting.

Prepare technical information that can be followed up

Bring approved specifications, maintenance information and relevant project references. Distinguish measured results from estimates and explain the conditions behind performance claims. Assign a knowledgeable colleague to questions that cannot be answered at reception.

A conversation at a fair is an opportunity to exchange information; it does not determine a purchasing decision or a procurement outcome. Record the question, documents promised and responsible colleague so the next discussion has useful context.

Support environmental claims with project evidence

If the stand uses reusable components or certified materials, identify which items and request the supporting documentation. Agree repair, packing, storage and end-of-use arrangements. A reusable frame or a material label alone does not establish a percentage reduction in waste or emissions.

Compare alternatives using the actual programme, quantities, transport and maintenance. Keep evidence for the specific claim your team intends to make. Our modular reuse guide explains questions to ask before describing a stand as sustainable.

Define the builder’s scope and event responsibilities

Request an itemised proposal covering design, structure, supports, flooring, graphics, furniture, screens, transport, handling, installation and dismantling. Clarify venue services, technical coordination, equipment operation and event support. Use the IFEMA regulations index and event-specific documents to identify applicable procedures.

Agree a schedule based on the equipment and approvals. At handover, inspect supports, graphics, lighting, connections and circulation against the approved plan. Identify fault contacts and the agreed shutdown and removal sequence.

Frequently asked questions

Can we display a vehicle or heavy equipment?

Provide its specifications and handling plan. Confirm plot suitability, access, support and permissions with the responsible parties before committing to the display.

What does a TECMA stand cost?

The equipment and scope determine the quote. Compare written proposals using the same brief and separate construction from venue services and the full participation budget.

Does a modular stand guarantee less waste?

No. Assess materials, repeated use, logistics, repairs and disposal arrangements for the actual project.

Send Adam Expo Stand your TECMA plot and equipment brief to discuss a proposal with defined technical and delivery responsibilities.
