Case Study: Elenium at Passenger Terminal Expo
Open Space Booth Design
Client: Elenium
Event: Passenger Terminal Expo, Europe
Design focus: four-sided access and airport-technology demonstrations.
The stand organized kiosks and bag-drop systems into demonstration islands, giving visitors several ways to approach the equipment.
The Objective: Encouraging Unrestricted Interaction
Elenium needed an open exhibition stand for its automated airport solutions. The brief prioritized hands-on interaction, clear movement around the equipment, and access from all four sides.
The challenge was to give each demonstration enough room while keeping the whole stand easy to approach from the surrounding aisles.
Multi-Directional Engagement
The booth was designed with four-side accessibility, allowing visitors to approach demo stations from any direction with total ease.
Technical Integration: Precision-Engineered Technology Islands
Technology islands were positioned to accommodate live kiosk and bag-drop demonstrations. Their placement connected the architectural design with the practical needs of the demonstrations.
The four-sided layout kept access open, and elevated illuminated branding made the stand recognizable from different approaches.
Add a handling and testing note to your brief. Identify who will deliver, position, connect and test each demonstration unit, together with any handling constraints confirmed by its supplier. Review the sequence from arrival to demonstration readiness before agreeing the installation scope.

The result was a dynamic, efficient stand that mirrored Elenium’s commitment to speed, innovation, and passenger experience.

Questions
Four-sided access allowed visitors to approach the demonstration islands from different aisles. Without perimeter walls, the layout gave each piece of equipment space within an open presentation area.
Dimensions, weight, power, connectivity, cabling, and maintenance access need to be agreed with the equipment supplier. The booth layout must allow room for testing devices and conducting demonstrations.
We used a "less is more" philosophy by creating spacious demo islands. Instead of crowding the floor with every product, we gave each system its own breathing room, mimicking a premium check-in lounge. This layout guided visitors through a logical step-by-step journey—from self-check-in to bag drop—clearly communicating the "speed and simplicity" that Elenium technology provides to travelers.
