Hispack 2027 Stand Guide: Machinery, Claims and Planning

Hispack 2027 is scheduled for 4–7 May 2027 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue. The organiser’s joint-event announcement places Hispack in Halls 2 and 3 and Graphispag in Hall 1. Confirm your allocated plot, current exhibitor manual, service orders and access arrangements before releasing the stand design.

For a packaging exhibitor, the stand brief should connect the product to a useful demonstration or technical conversation. Machinery, samples, materials and printed packaging need different display and operating arrangements. Neither a particular hall position nor a larger stand guarantees qualified leads.

Define what buyers need to assess

Choose the main question your exhibit should answer. It might concern a material’s suitability, a packaging format, a printing application, a machine’s operating conditions or integration with a production process. Identify the audience and the evidence your team is authorised to discuss.

Decide whether the explanation needs live equipment, a static sample, recorded operation, a material comparison or a technical meeting. A live demonstration is useful only when it is feasible, permitted and adequately supported. A well-explained static exhibit may be more suitable for some products or constraints.

Prepare a machinery and demonstration schedule

Input What to confirm
Equipment Dimensions, weight, centre-of-gravity or handling information supplied by the manufacturer, and whether the unit will operate
Operating space Operator positions, guarding, access for inspection and the intended viewing area
Services Actual electrical and other utility requirements, connection details and responsible installers
Materials Consumables, samples, replenishment, storage conditions and removal arrangements
Effects Noise, heat, emissions or other features requiring technical and organiser review
Delivery Packing, lifting and handling method, receiving contact and authorised access
Operation Competent operator, approved demonstration method, support and response to a fault

Have the manufacturer, contractor, specialists and organiser resolve their respective requirements. Do not infer that every machine needs three-phase power, that all plots permit the same loads or that a suspended installation is acceptable because another exhibitor used one.

Use the allocated hall and plot

The joint staging with Graphispag can be relevant to businesses spanning packaging, printing and labelling. Ask the organiser about participation, allocation and visitor access arrangements for your proposed scope. Do not assume a connector-facing position is available or produces a predictable level of traffic.

Plan circulation around the actual open sides, service locations and equipment. Keep intended observers within the stand’s usable area and preserve routes for staff and visitors. A meeting position should remain usable during the demonstration.

Consult the current event documents and Fira’s participation regulations. Confirm the relevant Gran Via technical requirements, required submissions and any event-specific conditions with the responsible team.

Check packaging claims before producing graphics

Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste gives 12 August 2026 as its general application date in Article 71. Individual obligations have their own scope, conditions and dates. Do not treat the general date as proof that every requirement applies identically to every product or operator.

Ask the exhibitor’s responsible product or compliance team to approve each claim and its evidence for the intended market and use. Identify the product, material, percentage basis, testing method, certificate scope or operating conditions behind a statement.

A recyclability claim, recycled-content figure and reuse claim answer different questions. A certificate about one product or material does not certify the complete stand or establish the project’s carbon impact. Avoid replacing an outdated claim with an equally broad statement such as “fully compliant” without the appropriate review.

Compare stand proposals and complete costs

Compare an organiser package, modular construction, custom construction or a mixed approach against the same product and operating brief. Check the actual package and system limits. Distinguish rental and ownership terms from the construction method.

Ask for separate costs for design, technical documentation, structure, graphics, equipment, packing, transport, handling, installation, support, dismantling, return and storage. Add organiser charges, services, exhibitor staff, consumables and taxes where applicable.

For repeated use, include adaptation, repairs, graphics and future transport. There is no verified venue-wide price or fixed number of events at which every modular stand pays for itself. Use dated quotations for the actual scope.

Plan decisions, submissions and access together

Build the schedule from official event deadlines, supplier availability, equipment delivery, technical review and permitted installation and removal periods. Assign owners to design decisions, artwork, service orders and submissions. Request clarification when a requirement or date is unresolved.

Keep approved drawings, equipment information, content and changes consistent. Agree suitable checks before shipping and the responsible site contacts. A photograph of production progress does not replace technical verification.

Prepare conversations and follow-up

Brief staff on the product questions they can answer and when a specialist should take over. Prepare relevant technical sheets in the languages needed by your intended audience. Offer a clear next step, such as a specification review, sample request or scheduled discussion.

Agree a lead-recording process with the responsible data-protection team and check any scanner or organiser tool’s conditions. Collect the information needed for the agreed purpose; a badge scan does not automatically authorise every later marketing use.

Assign follow-up owners and a realistic response process. Review useful conversations, demonstrations, next steps and commercial outcomes after the event. Neither rapid follow-up nor a particular technology guarantees conversion.

Frequently asked questions

When and where is Hispack 2027?

The organiser announces 4–7 May 2027 at Gran Via, alongside Graphispag. Check the current event website and your allocation for the details relevant to your participation.

Should I run a live machine on the stand?

Assess its usefulness, permitted operating conditions, services, guarding, staffing and technical review. Compare a live demonstration with static samples or recorded content rather than assuming one format is always better.

What should I send to a stand builder?

Send Adam Expo Stand the plot, current manual, equipment information, intended activities, budget scope and dates. Request availability, responsibilities, exclusions and a project-specific proposal.
