SIAL Paris 2026: Food Exhibitor Stand Preparation

SIAL Paris 2026 runs from 17 to 21 October at Paris Nord Villepinte. Prepare a food exhibition stand around the products you will present, how samples will be handled and the buyer conversations your team needs to support. Confirm the current exhibitor instructions before changing a layout or ordering services.

Confirm the correct SIAL venue and documents

The official SIAL information identifies Paris Nord Villepinte and five exhibition days. It is a different venue from Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Give carriers and suppliers the hall, stand number and delivery information from your booking.

Use the organiser’s 2026 exhibitor guide and your current exhibitor account for technical requirements, services, access and deadlines. Check for later instructions affecting your project.

Make the product easy to evaluate

Choose the range you can present clearly and supply reliably. Show the product, format, intended customer and relevant application. Prepare accurate product sheets and approved evidence for origin, ingredients, certifications and other claims. Translate priority information for scheduled buyers rather than assuming every visitor needs the same languages.

A retailer, importer and foodservice buyer can have different questions. Assign colleagues who can discuss packaging, order requirements, availability and commercial terms. Keep uncertain delivery or pricing commitments subject to confirmation.

Plan sampling as an operation

A tasting can help explain a product when it fits the offer and is permitted. Define preparation, storage, serving, replenishment, cleaning and waste handling with the responsible food team. Confirm the applicable event conditions and documentation; a generic stand layout cannot establish food compliance.

  • Identify products requiring refrigeration or other controlled conditions.
  • Confirm equipment, power periods and any water or drainage requirements.
  • Prepare approved ingredient and allergen information.
  • Keep stock, preparation and used serving items organised.
  • Plan staffing and replenishment from the actual sampling programme.
  • Keep queues and conversations within the permitted stand area.

Do not order a fixed number of portions solely from a general attendance figure. Use planned sessions, previous consumption and available storage to estimate quantities.

Fit demonstrations and meetings to the plot

Draw the allocated space with product displays, equipment, staff, storage and furniture at scale. Review viewing, sampling and meeting activities together. A tasting counter need not occupy the aisle edge if it obstructs circulation. Meeting capacity should follow the actual team and footprint.

Check equipment dimensions, supports, cable routes and servicing access with the builder. Confirm all additions against the current rules before production.

Arrange relevant buyer conversations

Use current exhibitor tools and appointment options where available. Prioritise buyers by product fit and market requirements, rather than an unsupported assumption about which nationalities attend on each day. Prepare a clear next step for every meeting.

Record relevant requirements, samples promised and follow-up owners. Count casual tastings separately from qualified enquiries and later orders.

Compare the full participation cost

Include space or package, design, construction, graphics, refrigeration, venue services, samples, transport, handling, installation, travel and follow-up. Use current itemised quotations, identifying taxes and exclusions. For a shared pavilion, confirm its actual inclusions and responsibilities before assuming a saving.
