Automechanika Frankfurt: 2026 Lessons and Future Stand Brief

Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 has finished; the next Frankfurt edition is scheduled for 5–9 September 2028. The official organiser website records the 2026 event as 8–12 September. Use those dates as historical context, and obtain the new edition’s conditions before making orders.

This guide helps automotive aftermarket exhibitors review a past stand and prepare a future brief. Product samples, diagnostic software and workshop equipment require different display, operating and conversation arrangements.

Review what the 2026 stand actually achieved

Separate completed demonstrations, relevant discussions, opportunities and closed business. Compare them with the objectives and complete cost of participation. Record what prevented useful conversations, including unreadable content, queues, unavailable specialists and equipment faults.

Identify changes that address those observed problems. A larger stand or more meeting rooms does not establish a better commercial result without matching the product and staffing process.

Give each product a display specification

For components, define viewing, handling, fixing, weight and labelling. Identify which features need a physical sample, cutaway or explanatory diagram. Keep supporting technical information available without filling every surface with text.

For diagnostics or software, choose a complete workflow and use approved demonstration data. Test interface readability, connections and reset procedures. Label simulated or recorded information and prepare a suitable fallback.

For workshop machinery or vehicles, provide dimensions, weight, supports, handling, services and intended operating activity. Ask the equipment supplier and competent specialists to define visitor separation and applicable conditions before the layout is approved.

Confirm the current plot and approval route

Obtain the allocated plan and current event manual. Check category placement and hall arrangements for the booked edition rather than transferring an old hall list.

The organiser provides a stand-approval route with separate fire-protection and safety enquiries. Ask the relevant technical team which documents and approvals your actual stand and activities require.

Confirm height, suspended elements, structures, materials, loads, services and deadlines where relevant. Do not assume every stand above a single generic height needs the same certificate or that an old lead time applies to the next event.

Design product viewing and commercial discussions together

Mark presenter, audience, equipment, meeting and storage positions using real dimensions. Check how one demonstration and another conversation can occur without blocking circulation or the aisle.

Test lighting with the product finish and hall conditions. Review reflections, contrast and legibility from expected positions. A universal lux number does not replace the lighting assessment for your samples and tasks.

Prepare a complete budget

Request current space or package charges directly from the organiser. Give builders the same brief and compare design, fabrication, graphics, furniture, AV, transport, installation and dismantling.

Identify machinery handling, connections, rigging, documentation, cleaning, storage, taxes and exclusions. Include staff, travel, demonstrations and follow-up in the wider participation budget. Neither area nor a generic country average gives a confirmed price.

For reuse, provide future plot requirements and compare adaptations, new graphics, repairs, storage and transport. Assess package, modular and custom solutions on the same complete scope.

Assign logistics, testing and follow-up

Coordinate handling and delivery with the confirmed working schedule. Record who receives equipment, stores empty packaging and resolves delays. Keep approved plans, order references and contacts accessible to the installation team.

At handover, test the actual demonstration, services and fallback with responsible specialists. Check graphics, furniture and circulation against the approved plan, and record outstanding faults.

Brief staff on visitor questions and the agreed next action. Use current organiser tools and your approved privacy process for contacts; do not assume every badge has a particular chip or integrates with your CRM.
