EAO Congress 2026 Lisbon: Dental Stand Review Guide

EAO Congress 2026 Lisbon took place on 24–26 September at Centro de Congressos de Lisboa. The physical exhibition has finished; Lisbon Online offers selected highlights until 5 November. Dental exhibitors can now review demonstrations, close visitor requests and assess reusable components. The next EAO-SEPES Joint Meeting is in Madrid, so new stand planning needs new instructions.

EAO Congress 2026 Lisbon: confirmed edition details

The official general information confirms 24–26 September 2026 at Centro de Congressos de Lisboa, Praça das Indústrias 1, Lisbon. Information in this guide was checked on 12 October 2026. The venue is distinct from FIL; instructions for another Lisbon exhibition centre should not be applied to this congress.

EAO’s Lisbon website describes the online selection and access period. This does not reopen the physical exhibition or establish permission to redistribute recordings. The 2027 meeting website confirms Madrid and its dates. Do not carry Lisbon’s venue or technical assumptions into a Madrid proposal.

Review what the dental stand helped people do

Start with the activities actually offered: examining an implant model, viewing a digital workflow, asking a product question or meeting an account team. Compare the intended task with the visitor’s experience. Record practical observations supported by staff notes or permitted photographs, rather than assuming a white finish or premium material created clinical trust.

Separate design issues from operational ones. An obstructed counter may need a different layout; a long wait may come from insufficient trained staff or a demonstration that takes too long. A display that was difficult to read may need better labels, orientation or lighting. Identify the cause before ordering a larger stand.

Ask the team which questions remained unanswered and where the process stopped. Preserve the evidence and decide who will resolve each issue. Do not turn an isolated comment into a general claim that one stand format always performs better.

Build a dental demonstration debrief

Task Check against actual operation Possible next design decision
Viewing a model or component Labels, scale, lighting and handling instructions Change the holder or display position
Following a scanner or software workflow Screen visibility, equipment connections and reset time Revise the workstation and approved sample environment
Joining a scheduled discussion Finding the meeting point, access and audibility Adjust seating, signage or the meeting arrangement
Requesting documentation Correct file, version, recipient and permitted next step Improve the document and request handover

These are review prompts, not mandatory EAO zones. Fit the next layout to the actual equipment and plot. A compact stand cannot necessarily support a demonstration, several simultaneous meetings and a large storage room. Prioritise the activity that serves the objective and plan additional meetings elsewhere if appropriate.

Keep product and clinical content under company review

Assign qualified company reviewers to the product information, evidence displays, samples, proposed demonstrations and audience arrangements. The stand supplier can prepare physical layouts and files to the agreed brief; this does not transfer responsibility for clinical or product approval to the builder.

Review graphs and study references in their proper context. Check that labels and qualifications remain legible at final size and that a new crop or animation does not change the meaning. Use approved sample data for software; avoid putting identifiable patient records on a demonstration screen or in a general visitor request record.

If a clinical question arises, use the company’s designated route to an appropriate person. A sales discussion at a stand is not a substitute for a clinical consultation. For broader layout options and responsibility checks, see the medical stand design guide.

Close visitor requests with a clear owner

Check which visitors asked for technical documentation, a demonstration, training information or a commercial proposal. Assign the relevant response and verify that the receiving team has enough information to act. Avoid placing unnecessary clinical details in a general sales system.

Use the company’s approved data and communication process. A congress badge scan should not be treated as permission for every mailing. Check recipients, purpose and the appropriate follow-up before an automated message is released. Measure requests completed as well as the volume collected.

Keep professional interest, a qualified opportunity and a won order distinct. Compare results against the original objective and use a stated observation period. A visitor’s clinical role does not make every discussion an immediate purchasing opportunity.

Inspect the stand before agreeing reuse

Reconcile the collection list with the components returned. Record condition, dimensions, missing parts, ownership and storage. Check equipment and cases separately from the structure. Confirm which hired items have been returned and close any damage or variation charges with evidence.

For a new configuration, inspect the proposed counter geometry, screens, product supports, circulation and accessible approach. Confirm the new event’s requirements. Reuse may be sensible, but the existence of modular frames does not prove a fixed saving or suitability for another plot.

Compare transport, handling, repairs, replacement graphics, assembly and storage across the actual programme. Ask the logistics provider to assess the goods, origin, route and customs status where relevant. Do not assume a universal road transit time or that every shipment from an EU address has identical documentation requirements. The exhibition shipping guide helps structure the questions.

Set a complete budget for the next congress

Obtain the organiser’s current commercial offer and confirmed plot before pricing the installation. Separate space and participation charges from design, production, graphics, equipment, services, transport, handling, installation, dismantling, travel and follow-up. Identify taxes, exclusions, change costs and unresolved items.

Ask suppliers to price the same released brief. Compare responsibilities for drawings, technical submissions, equipment testing and on-site supervision. Request evidence for relevant project experience. Neither an attractive render nor a broad promise of compliance establishes that every company and organiser review is complete.

The stand budget guide provides a comparison structure. Obtain actual quotes for your next event rather than treating a size-based price table as a confirmed EAO tariff.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Lisbon exhibition still open?

No. The physical congress finished in September. The current online selection is a separate activity.

Must every dental stand have a closed meeting room?

No. Assess the discussion, privacy needs, plot and access. Check whether the proposed arrangement provides the conditions required; a partition alone does not guarantee confidentiality.

Can I reuse Lisbon’s drawings for Madrid?

Use them as a starting record. Obtain the new plot and technical instructions, assess the configuration and secure the applicable approvals.
