ISE Barcelona Exhibition Stand: 2027 Planning Guide

Quick answer: Plan an ISE Barcelona exhibition stand around the product demonstration, people, equipment, content and services. Use the current event manual for design submission, technical rules, access and logistics; do not plan from a generic four-month timetable.

The 2026 edition has finished. ISE’s official information announces the next edition on 2–5 February 2027 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. Full opening is 10:00–18:00 Tuesday to Thursday and 10:00–16:00 Friday, with early-entry exceptions described separately. Recheck before making appointments.

ISE 2027: design submissions and current changes

The 2027 submission instructions require an exhibitor declaration for every stand type. Confirm the design submission process for your package; space-only projects require review. Published deadlines are:

  • 23 October 2026: complex-structure designs.
  • 30 October 2026: other stand designs.
  • 17 December 2026: complex-structure calculations.

Assign an owner and check applicable documents, fees and the Permission to Build Certificate directly with the submission team.

The 2027 changes page also identifies a new warehouse address, revised early access, mandatory safety shoes during installation and dismantling, and a ban on mixed roof-suspended and floor-supported structures. Have the technical and logistics owners review the full changes before finalising the project.

Brief the demonstration before selecting the installation

Define the product, audience question, sequence, operator and intended next conversation. List equipment, weights, dimensions, mounting, power, heat, signal paths, network requirements and manufacturer instructions. Distinguish operational demonstrations from illustrative animations.

Choose the display or interaction for its task. Neither a larger LED wall nor a particular pixel pitch guarantees better results. Test final content on the proposed equipment from actual viewing positions, including text, reflections, colour and sound.

Review the allocated plot and services

Use the assigned hall and dimensioned plot plan, not a generic mapping of product categories to hall numbers. Confirm services, columns, access routes and permitted structures. Read the current ISE manual alongside Fira’s technical regulations.

Have the competent team verify structural supports, loads, evacuation and electrical requirements. Do not assume identical heights, rigging availability or unlimited power in every hall. A demonstration setup using only carpet and audiovisual equipment still needs its applicable space-only review process checked.

Audio, connectivity and operating support

Test sound with neighbouring activities and event limits in mind. Directional equipment does not guarantee that no sound reaches another stand. Agree levels, positions, monitoring and an alternative presentation.

Specify actual network use and permitted services with the technical provider. Test applications, accounts, content, restart and failure recovery. Prepare an authorised local recording, offline example or staff explanation where feasible; nominal bandwidth alone does not establish reliable operation.

Calculate demonstration capacity honestly

Include explanation, questions, reset, cleaning, operator breaks and the space for people waiting. As an invented planning example, a 30-minute cycle with six participants allows two complete sessions, or twelve participations, per hour. Four scheduled hours would allow 48 participations if every slot runs full.

That capacity is not a forecast of attendance or qualified enquiries. Rehearse the activity and use the actual available hours for each of ISE’s four show days. Keep queues within the allocated area and provide an accessible alternative.

Compare scope, cost and logistics

Itemise design, documents, structure, graphics, equipment, content, licences, services, transport, handling, installation, operation, support and removal. Confirm ownership, rental returns, storage and adaptation for reuse. There is no universal price per stand size or content-to-hardware budget ratio.

Work backwards from the current submission and access deadlines, supplier commitments and shipment requirements. Check the updated delivery address and booking arrangements. Have logistics specialists assess any customs or temporary import needs rather than adding a fixed two weeks to every international shipment.

Handover and review

Agree tests, inventory, approved files, unresolved items and support contacts before opening. Record useful questions, completed demonstrations and agreed next steps through the approved data process. Separate activity, proposals and attributable business when evaluating the event.
